Kempker’s True Value and Rental, Inc. was founded in 1970 by Bob and Barb Kempker in Ft. Madison, Iowa who owned and operated the business for more than four decades. Bob and Barb truly loved building their brand within the community and did everything they could to give back in every way they possibly could. When it came time to pass the reigns of the business they knew it would be in great hands.

Their son, Chuck Kempker, and his wife, Dawn took on their new roles with one goal in mind; to continue to emulate their successors to the best of their abilities and make an impact in each of the communities they serve.

Chuck and Dawn decided to expand their brand into Mount Pleasant, Iowa in 2010. As their sons came into the business they opened up shop in Burlington, Grimes and most recently Huxley, Iowa as well!

Dustin Kempker operates the Burlington location and Jason Kempker, operates the Grimes and Huxley locations. Their enthusiasm to build the Kempker name in their respective communities is prevalent. Their customers can usually find them lending a helping hand throughout the store, making sure their customers are well taken care of. And, just as their parents and Grandparents taught them, you can find them supporting local events and charitable organizations for the betterment of their communities and its members.
